IT MAY BE HARD for some to believe but the fact that we were the victims of the War Crimes committed by the forces who attacked us on June 8, 1967 and we were the ones who were abandoned under fire by the Sixth Fleet carries no weight with the people who work inside the Beltway.
For decades we have been trying to convince Congress that an attack that includes the deliberate machine gunning of our life rafts in the water and the recall of rescue aircraft from Sixth Fleet aircraft carriers deserves Congressional scrutiny. For decades Congress has ignored our pleadings.
Clearly we need your help.
On this page we hope to provide a vehicle for visitors to become involved by writing the members of their Congressional Delegation. Initially this will be a manual process of providing suggested wording by the use of autoresponders. Hopefully we will be able to accumulate enough funding to automate the process.
The initial letter deals with the US government’s handling of the War Crimes we submitted on June 8, 2005. The suggested wording of the letter is available by sending a blank email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The subject of the email you will receive is “USS Liberty Letter Suggested Wording”.
To determine who represents you in the Halls of Congress, please visit http://www.contactingthecongress.org. That site also provides links to Congressional Web sites so you can submit the letter electronically.
When you receive a response please let us know by emailing them to email@example.com or by faxing them to us at 425-675-5646.
